The equipment was handed over on August 24, 2026, by Mr. Wang Chang, Chargé d’Affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Laos, to Mrs. Aly Vongnorbountham, Member of the Party Central Committee and President of the LWU.
The 15 types of equipment will support training in garment and tailoring, beauty and cosmetology, and food and culinary preparation. Part of the equipment will also be distributed to provincial vocational training centers.
Mrs. Aly expressed appreciation to the ACWF and the Chinese Embassy for the assistance, saying it would improve modern teaching methods and meet trainees’ practical needs.
The support contributes to the Lao Women’s Development Plan 2026–2030, particularly efforts to equip women with vocational skills, expand employment opportunities and support their development as micro, small and medium entrepreneurs
