Khammouane prepares many activities to welcome tourists in 2024

ຂປລ (KPL) Khammuane province has prepared many activities for Lao Tourism Year 2024 to provide hospitality to tourists and expected welcome more domestic and foreign tourists come to visit the province.

(KPL) Khammuane province has prepared many activities for Lao Tourism Year 2024 to provide hospitality to tourists and expected welcome more domestic and foreign tourists come to visit the province.

Head of Information, Culture and Tourism of Khammuane province, Mr. Xaysomboun Souvandala said that the province has prepared 13 tourism promotion activities related to local festival in six districts to attract tourists who wish to visit the province. A committee has been appointed to responsible for the tourism promotion campaign and set up plans the implementation of Lao Tourism Year 2024 activities.

Khammouane province has so far mobilised the fund to prepare the Lao Tourism Year 2024, collected photos at some attractive tourist sites and created online advertisement, prepare skills training courses for food-beverage service staff entire province and a mechanism to provide better service to tourists who will cross the border at international checkpoints such as the third Mekong Friendship Bridge and Naphao checkpoint, he said.

All hotels, guesthouses and restaurants have also been checked up their standard considered they are able to welcome tourists regularly, he went on.

Some attractive tourist sites expected to attract more tourists including Tha Fhalang, Phathat Toum Phavang, Kong Lo Cave, the Loop, rocket and Nakai boat racing festivals in Sebangfai and others.

Currently, Khammuane Province has 209 tourism sites, of which 145 are nature, 33 sites are cultural and 31 sites are historical sites. Among of them, there are 87 sites open for public services.
