(KPL)  Sonexay Siphandone on March 18 received a courtesy call from Benjamin William, Secretary-General of the Singapore Red Cross, during his working visit to the Lao PDR.

Prime Minister Sonexay extended a warm welcome to the visiting delegation and highly valued the visit as a meaningful contribution to strengthening the long-standing cooperation between Laos and Singapore, particularly between the Lao Red Cross and the Singapore Red Cross.

He encouraged continued collaboration across key areas, including community health promotion, volunteer recruitment and training, fundraising and resource mobilization, as well as organizational development and digital transformation.

Mr. Benjamin William expressed appreciation for the warm reception and reaffirmed the Singapore Red Cross’s commitment to deepening cooperation with Lao partners. He also briefed the Prime Minister on ongoing joint activities with various sectors in Laos and outlined the objectives of the delegation’s current mission.

The meeting highlighted the growing partnership between the two countries in humanitarian work, with both sides reaffirming their commitment to enhancing cooperation in support of community resilience and public well-being.
