(KPL) Champasak Province is set to host the Laos–Vietnam Trade, Investment and Tourism Fair 2026 from April 2–5 in Pakse, aiming to boost cross-border economic cooperation and promote regional products.
The event is being organized by the Champasak Provincial Department of Industry and Commerce in collaboration with the Consulate General of Vietnam in southern Laos. Provincial authorities have approved the fair and established an organizing committee to oversee preparations.
Officials said the fair will serve as a platform to strengthen trade and investment ties, facilitate the exchange of market information, and enhance the visibility of Lao and Vietnamese goods.
The four-day event will take place at the outdoor grounds of Km2 Stadium in Pakse district and is expected to feature more than 90 exhibition booths from Laos, Vietnam, and neighboring countries.
Champasak Province will lead Lao participation with 28 booths, joined by representatives from Saravane, Sekong, Attapeu, and Savannakhet. Vietnamese exhibitors will include businesses from multiple provinces and cities such as Quang Ngai, Gia Lai, Khanh Hoa, and Da Nang, showcasing a diverse range of products and services.
The fair will also welcome business representatives from Thailand and Cambodia, further expanding regional engagement.
In addition to trade activities, visitors will be able to enjoy cultural performances by local artists on the evenings of April 3 and 4, highlighting the cultural richness of Champasak Province.
Officials say the event underscores ongoing efforts to deepen Laos–Vietnam cooperation while promoting tourism and regional economic integration.
