KPL The Ministry of Industry and Commerce has assured the public that fuel supplies across the country remain stable and sufficient, despite ongoing unrest in the Middle East that has raised global concerns over energy markets.

In an official notice issued on March 2, 2026, the ministry confirmed that fuel imports into the Lao PDR continue as normal, with no disruption to supply channels. Authorities stated that existing fuel reserves are adequate to meet current domestic demand.

The announcement comes amid heightened tensions in the Middle East, a region that plays a crucial role in global oil production and distribution. While international developments have resulted in fluctuations in global fuel prices, the ministry emphasized that Laos’ fuel supply chain has not been affected.

Relevant departments are closely monitoring domestic stock levels and global market trends to ensure continued stability. The government is also coordinating with fuel importers and distributors to maintain smooth transportation and nationwide distribution.

At the same time, the ministry has called on the public to use vehicles only when necessary and avoid excessive fuel consumption. The appeal is intended to promote responsible energy use and help maintain balanced supply during this period of global uncertainty.

Officials reaffirmed the government’s commitment to safeguarding national energy security and ensuring that essential goods and services remain accessible to the public.
