(KPL) The Ministry of Public Works and Transport has disseminated key guidelines to officials nationwide to support preparations for the elections of the 10th National Assembly and the 5th Provincial People’s Councils.

The dissemination meeting was held on February 19 to implement outcomes of the National Training Workshop for key officials on the upcoming elections. The session was chaired by Ngampasong Meuangmany and Detsongkham Thammavong, Vice Ministers of the Ministry, with participation from directors general, deputy directors, division heads, and ministry staff.

Mr. Ngampasong stated that the operational plan of the National Election Committee aims to implement resolutions of the Party Central Committee’s Political Bureau and ensure elections are conducted in line with the Constitution and the Law on Elections.

The plan outlines four main objectives: ensuring legal compliance in election procedures; providing coordinated guidance for national and local election bodies; selecting qualified representatives with balanced gender, ethnicity, and age representation; and completing all processes within the designated timeframe.

To support implementation, the Ministry emphasized four performance benchmarks: full participation of eligible voters, correct adherence to election procedures, comprehensive security and public order, and transparent, timely completion of the voting process.
