Grand Rehearsal for the Opening Ceremony of the 12th National Games

KPL A full-scale rehearsal for the opening ceremony of the 12th National Games, also known as the Vientiane Games, was held on 10 November 2025 at the National Stadium, Kilometer 16.


The rehearsal was attended by Mr. Siliraththongsing Thongpheng, Deputy Mayor of Vientiane and National-level Committee Member responsible for the 12th National Games; Mr. Somphoo Phongsa, Vice President of the National Olympic Committee; as well as members of responsible committees, coaches, sub-committees from various sectors, support personnel, and media representatives.

The trial arts and cultural performance featured full use of lights, colors, and sound, staged as it would be on the official opening day. It brought together all performance groups at the National Stadium, involving 2,500 performers across four main performances:

Welcome to Vientiane Games – 500 performers from the National Arts Troupe, National Drama Troupe, and Phontan High School.

Boat Racing – 400 performers from the Provincial Security Command Arts Troupe and Non Savang Secondary School.

Sports Strengthen the Body – 400 performers from the National Gymnastics Team, National Arts College, and Sayseththa High School.

Lao Circle Dance – Ten Thousand Celebration – 2,500 performers from 13 sectors, including the National Arts Troupe, National Drama Troupe, National Gymnastics Team, Provincial Security Command Arts Troupe, Military Arts Troupe, National Arts College, Phontan High School, Non Savang Secondary School, Phiavat High School, Lao-Vietnam High School, Tanmixay High School, Sivily High School, and Sayseththa High School.

This was the second grand rehearsal, with another major performance scheduled for 13 November 2025 at the National Stadium, Kilometer 16.
