The report detailed that exports totaled 945 million dollars in March, while imports were valued at 785 million dollars. This marked a notable trade surplus for the Southeast Asian nation

Key Lao export products during the month included electrical appliances and equipment, cassava, mixed and bar gold, potassium salt, copper ore, paper and related products, rubber, bananas, cassava starch, and wood pulp and paper waste.

On the import side, the country brought in diesel fuel, instant mixed chemical products, land vehicles, mechanical and electrical equipment, iron and steel materials, plastic goods, fertilizers, sugar, and farm tractors.

Thailand, China, and Vietnam remained Laos' top trading partners, serving both as leading destinations for Lao exports and primary sources of its imports.
