On October 28, a delegation of ASEAN media representatives visited the garden and experienced picking fresh tea leaves firsthand.

“I visited Jinjing Tea Garden for the first time, and the scenery is stunning. The tea-picking experience and visit to the observatory left a deep impression on me. I hope to return with my family to experience it together,” said Do Huu Hung from Nhan Dan Newspaper in Vietnam.

Jinjing Tea Garden has a long history of tea production and is renowned as one of China’s famous tea-producing areas. The region is also home to the country’s largest national tiger breeding center, adding ecological and educational value to its tourism appeal.

“The garden has helped the town adopt a village–enterprise co-development strategy that integrates tea production with tourism,” said Liu Wei. “This approach has fostered new tea culture enterprises and tourism businesses, creating job opportunities for locals while enriching visitors’ experiences.”

“With its wide-open views and minimal light pollution, Jinjing is also an exceptional spot for stargazing,” added Zou Zilong, Party Secretary of Jinjing Town. “Visitors can use professional telescopes to observe sunspots, view rare meteorite specimens, and even experience virtual moon landings through VR technology.”

Renowned for its tea heritage, Jinjing Town continues to develop innovative tea tourism initiatives. Through village–enterprise cooperation, the town has launched educational programs, tea art workshops, and themed routes such as “Tea-Infused Meals in Courtyard Settings” and “Tea Fields Nestled in Homestays.” These efforts aim to offer visitors a rich, immersive tea culture experience that blends tradition, innovation, and natural beauty.
