(KPL) On Sep 12, Vice President Pany Yathortou led a delegation of senior officials to sign a book of condolence Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II at the British Embassy in Vientiane.

Accompanying the Vice President to sign the book were Minister and Head of the President’s Office Khemmany Pholsena, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Bounkham Vorachit, Minister of Health Dr. Bounfeng Phoummalaysith, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Bounleua Phandanouvong, Vice Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Thongphath Vongmany, former Ambassador of the Lao PDR to the United Kingdom Sayakane Sisouvong.

“We are incredibly thankful for the outpouring of support we have received from the Government of the Lao PDR, following the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II,” the embassy of the United Kingdom in Vientiane posted on its facebook account.

The book of condolence will be open to members of the public to leave a message for Queen Elizabeth II from 14:00-16:00, every day until Sep 16, 2022.
