(KPL) Lao Skyway launched last Friday two new flights: Xieng Khuang - Vientiane Capital and Xieng Khuang - Luang Prabang in response to the growing number of tourists and customers.
The launching ceremony for the new routes was witnessed by Vice Governor of Xieng Khuang Province Mr Khampao Mao, Director of Lao Skyway Mr Bounma Chanthavong, and relevant officials.
“The addition of the new air routes is part of efforts being made to expand services to all provinces across the country and to improve conveniences for customers,” said Mr Bounma.
The new flight is the seventh route of Lao Skyway. The new route between Xieng Khuang and Vientiane Capital operates three times per week (a one way ticket is 399,000 kip) and the route between Xieng Khuang and Luang Prabang, also operating three times per week, is 499,000 kip for a one way ticket.
Over the past years, Lao Skyway has operated 19-seater airplanes between Vientiane and the northern provinces of Phongsaly (four times per week), Huaphan (six times per week), Luang Namtha (four times per week), Oudomxay (three times per week), and Houay Xai of Bokeo Province and Luang Prabang (seven days per week).
