(KPL) On April 1, 2026, three high-level delegations paid a courtesy visit to the Ministry of Public Security to extend congratulations on the upcoming 65th anniversary of the Lao People’s Public Security Forces (April 5, 1961 – April 5, 2026).
The delegations included representatives from the Office of the Supreme People’s Prosecutor, led by Lyvong Laoly; the Embassy of Russia, headed by Sergey Shodsky; and the Embassy of Vietnam, led by Nguyen Minh Tam.
The visiting delegations were received by Vanthong Kongmany, Member of the Secretariat of the Party Central Committee and Minister of Public Security, together with senior officials of the ministry.
During the visit, the delegations commended the Public Security Forces for their achievements over the past 65 years, particularly in maintaining political stability, ensuring public order, and contributing to the country’s socio-economic development. They also reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation in addressing social challenges and safeguarding national security.
In response, Minister Vanthong Kongmany expressed sincere appreciation for the continued support and friendship from domestic institutions and international partners. He emphasized that the accomplishments of the Public Security Forces have been made possible through close cooperation with relevant sectors and partner countries.
He concluded by expressing confidence in the continued strengthening of relations between the Ministry of Public Security and the visiting organizations, contributing to long-term stability and development
