(KPL)  A Creative Art Exhibition officially opened on March 19, 2026, at the National Institute of Fine Arts, bringing together artists from Laos and the Republic of Korea in a celebration of culture and creativity.

The exhibition is jointly organized by the National Institute of Fine Arts, the Lao Fine Arts Association and the Creative Art Association.

The opening ceremony was attended by

Mr. Khamsouk Keovongsay, Director of the National Institute of Fine Arts,

Mr. Cho Pyung-sun, Executive Director of Art from Republic of Korea, as well as national artists, local Lao artists, teachers and students.

Maising Chanboutdy President of the Lao Fine Arts Association, said the exhibition showcases a wide range of artistic styles and techniques reflecting everyday life, natural beauty and cultural traditions from both countries.

More than 50 Lao artworks and over 200 pieces from the Republic of Korea are on display.

He said the exhibition aims to strengthen friendship and solidarity between Laos and the Republic of Korea, while continuing a long-standing partnership that began in 2015 through academic exchanges, workshops and annual exhibitions.

The event also provides a platform for artists to present their work to the public and supports the government’s Visit Laos Year 2026 initiative.

“This collaboration serves to promote cultural exchange and learning in the field of fine arts for both educators and artists of our two countries,” Maising Chanboutdy said.
