At the opening meeting, the Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone has reported on the implementation of the socio-economic development plan, the state budget plan, the 2024 monetary plan and the 2025 plan in connection with the national agenda on resolving economic and financial difficulties; the 2025 state investment plan, the 2025 state budget allocation plan for ministries, central agencies and provinces; Proposal for amendments to the 2024 state budget plan.
The Vice President of the National Assembly Xaysomphone Phomvihanh has reported on the implementation of the socio-economic development plan, the state budgetary plan, the 2024 currency plan as well as the plan for 2025, the government’s report on a draft strategic plan for the management and development of agricultural land through 2030, with a vision extending to 2040. Additionally, the state budget for 2025 and the allocation of funds to ministries, organizations, and localities.
The progress of the education system reform strategy, along with plans for the development of national human resources. Legislative evaluations will cover the implementation of four significant laws: the Law on Education, the Law on the Control of Alcoholic Beverages, the Law on Labour, and the Law on Labels.
Other important reports to be presented include the state audit agency’s review of 2024 activities, its 2025 work plan, and the National Committee’s progress on amending the 2015 Constitution of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic.
