KPL (KPL) The Lao government has launched a low-interest business funding program to boost economic self-reliance and reduce import dependency.


(KPL) The Lao government has launched a low-interest business funding program to boost economic self-reliance and reduce import dependency.

Following a key meeting, participants discussed strategies for low-interest loans and reviewed the Enterprise Promotion Fund.

Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone directed the Ministry of Industry and Commerce and the Bank of Laos to create a fund to support micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs). He also urged businesses to adopt technology for improved productivity and called for promoting large-scale production and attracting foreign investment.
