(KPL) Laos will host the 57th ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting (AMM) and related meetings in Vientiane on Jul 21-27. Representatives of relevant authorities met in Vientiane yesterday to discuss preparations for the 57th AMM and related meetings. Yesterday’s meeting was chaired by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Saleumxay Kommasith.The participants were briefed about progress made by sub-committees in preparation for the major regional events with respect to accommodations for ministers and their delegations from more than 34 countries, meeting facilities, delegate vehicles, transport, communication and internet facilities, among others. They expressed satisfaction on the preparations made by relevant sub-committees.Delivering guidance remarks at the meeting, DPM Saleumxay Kommasith urged relevant authorities to pay attention to fulfilling their preparatory tasks so that the upcoming 57th AMM is successful as planned.KPL
