(KPL) President Thongloun Sisoulith on Monday sent a congratulatory message to his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin on his re-election as President of the Russian Federation.
The message read:
“On behalf of the Lao people, and on my own behalf, I would like to extend to Your Excellency my wholehearted congratulations on your overwhelming victory in the election and the opportunity to serve as the President of the Russian Federation for another term. The result of the election strongly reflects the Russian people's trust and confidence in the ability and intelligence of your leadership.
I am firmly convinced that under Your Excellency’s wise leadership, the Russian Federation will continuously develop and prosper. I am pleased to work closely with Your Excellency to further strengthen and enhance our friendly relations and good cooperation, based on the Strategic Partnership, mutual understanding, trust and assistance between the Lao People’s Democratic Republic and the Russian Federation for the benefit of our two peoples.
