Lao National Assembly Sets Date for Inaugural Session of 10th Legislature

KPL The Standing Committee of the National Assembly of the Lao PDR has approved the schedule for the inaugural session of the 10th Legislature, which will be held from March 23 to March 27, 2026, according to Resolution No. 30/SCNA issued on March 13.

(KPL) The Standing Committee of the National Assembly of the Lao PDR has approved the schedule for the inaugural session of the 10th Legislature, which will be held from March 23 to March 27, 2026, according to Resolution No. 30/SCNA issued on March 13.

The five-day session will take place at the National Assembly headquarters in Vientiane. The meeting marks the formal beginning of the operations of the new legislature following the recent elections.

The resolution was signed by the President of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly and is based on Article 54 of the amended Law on the National Assembly adopted in 2024, which regulates the conduct of inaugural sessions.

It also follows the preparatory arrangements outlined in Plan No. 25/SCNA issued on March 3, 2026.

The document calls on all members of the National Assembly, its internal organizations and relevant sectors to strictly implement the resolution to ensure the successful organization and objectives of the inaugural session.
