In an interview with a journalist from the Lao News Agency during an ASEAN media tour in Guizhou from April 16 to 21, a local official emphasised the importance of the Huajiang Grand Canyon Bridge, which stands 625 metres above the Beipan River in Guizhou’s mountainous terrain. With a main span of 1,420 metres, the project has become the world’s longest-span steel truss girder suspension bridge in mountainous regions.

In addition, the bridge’s structural features provide opportunities for a range of tourist attractions, including glass walkways, bungee jumping, sightseeing lifts, and cafés within the cable towers, a local official noted.
