(KPL) The National Propaganda and Mobilization Sub-committee pledged to intensify public awareness and participation to ensure a successful and inclusive election during a monitoring mission in Phongsaly Province on February 12, 2026.
Mr. Thongly Sisoulith, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Youth Union and Head of the National Monitoring and Promotion Committee for Propaganda and Mobilization, led the delegation to review preparations for the elections of the 10th National Assembly and the 5th Provincial People’s Councils.
Mr. Vanhxay Souksanh, Head of the Provincial Propaganda and Mobilization Sub-committee, reported that following the provincial election committee meeting on December 16, 2025, authorities have implemented comprehensive operational plans covering personnel deployment, budget allocation and coordination with districts on campaign infrastructure.
Training programmes have been conducted for provincial and district officials to strengthen understanding of electoral regulations, while public awareness campaigns have been launched across sectors to encourage broad participation and create a vibrant national election atmosphere.
Mr. Thongly Sisoulith commended the province’s proactive implementation and called for continued efforts to ensure the election process is conducted effectively, transparently and in line with the established timetable.
