According to local sources, candidates for the 10th National Assembly (NA) representing Constituency 4, Oudomxay Province, and candidates for the 5th Provincial People’s Council (PPC) for the Xay District constituency met with eligible voters in the provincial capital on February 5, 2026.
(KPL) According to local sources, candidates for the 10th National Assembly (NA) representing Constituency 4, Oudomxay Province, and candidates for the 5th Provincial People’s Council (PPC) for the Xay District constituency met with eligible voters in the provincial capital on February 5, 2026.
The meeting, held at the Provincial Hall, provided an opportunity for candidates to introduce themselves and present their backgrounds, enabling voters to gain necessary information to make informed decisions in the upcoming elections.
A total of 18 candidates took part in the meeting, including 11 candidates for the National Assembly, of whom four are women, and seven candidates for the Provincial People’s Council, including three women.
The campaign activity was conducted in accordance with Article 18 of the Law on the Election of Members of the National Assembly and Provincial People’s Councils (Revised 2024), with the aim of ensuring that the election process is carried out in an orderly, transparent and lawful manner.
The meeting also sought to provide voters with objective information to enable them to compare candidates against established criteria, thereby supporting the selection of representatives capable of effectively exercising the people’s power in the National Assembly and Provincial People’s Councils.
The event created a platform for interaction between candidates and voters, encouraging the electorate to carefully consider each candidate’s qualifications, competence and commitment to national service, in order to select representatives who can faithfully serve the interests of the nation and the people.
