KPL A photo exhibition celebrating the life and legacy of President Kaysone Phomvihane has opened at the Kaysone Phomvihane Museum in Vientiane.

The exhibition, titled “Achievements in National Protection and Development Linked to the Life and Revolutionary Work of President Kaysone Phomvihane”, was officially inaugurated on 28 November 2015.

The ceremony was attended by President Thongloun Sisoulith, senior Party leaders, and representatives from relevant ministries and sectors.

In his opening remarks, Khamphanh Pheuyavong, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Head of the Propaganda and Training Board, said the exhibition forms part of nationwide celebrations marking three major historic milestones: the 70th anniversary of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party, the 50th anniversary of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, and the 105th anniversary of the birth of President Kaysone Phomvihane.

He noted that Laos has made significant progress over the past five decades under the leadership of the LPRP, building on the revolutionary vision of President Kaysone and continuing through successive generations, particularly during the era of national renovation.

The exhibition features 334 photographs, documents and artefacts presented across two sections. The first highlights the life and revolutionary contributions of President Kaysone from 1920 to 1992. The second showcases national achievements in defence and development from 1975 to 2025.

Khamphanh said the exhibition aims to strengthen public understanding of the Party’s history and to inspire younger generations by highlighting President Kaysone’s commitment, moral leadership and lifelong dedication to national independence and prosperity.
