(KPL) On September 1, 2025, The President of the Supreme People’s Prosecutor Office of Laos, Mr. Xaysana Khotphouthone, received a farewell courtesy call from Ms. Morakot Sriswasdi, Ambassador of Thailand to the Lao PDR, on the completion of her diplomatic mission.
Both sides expressed appreciation for the long-standing friendship and close cooperation between Laos and Thailand over the past 75 years. This has been reflected in the exchange of congratulatory messages on important occasions, regular meetings between senior leaders at international forums, and mutual support in various fields.
Mr. Xaysana congratulated Ambassador Morakot on the successful completion of her tenure in Laos, highlighting her significant contributions to strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation. He noted in particular her role in promoting technical cooperation and supporting efforts to combat transnational crimes, including drug trafficking, money laundering, and human trafficking, as well as assistance in legal and administrative proceedings for the Lao Supreme People’s Prosecutor Office.
Ambassador Morakot expressed her gratitude for the support and warm cooperation extended to her during her tenure. She reaffirmed that the Royal Thai Embassy will continue to work towards further consolidating the friendly relations and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries, as well as with the Lao Supreme People’s Prosecutor Office, in the years to come
