(KPL) In response to severe flooding caused by days of continuous rainfall, the Xiengkhuang provincial government, led by Mr. Viengxay Sivilay, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council, has urgently delivered relief supplies to Phieng Hong Village in Nonghaet District.

The village has been heavily impacted, with homes damaged, roads washed out, and access cut off due to landslides. Emergency aid, including medicine, rice, instant noodles, drinking water, and canned fish, was airlifted to residents on July 25, 2025. Due to ongoing rainfall and challenging terrain, only one shipment has been delivered so far. Authorities are standing by to send additional supplies as soon as weather conditions permit.

Provincial departments, military units, and the disaster management committee are coordinating efforts to assist affected villagers, with the Air Force playing a key role in the ongoing relief mission.
