On July 25, Mr. Thongsavanh Phomvihane, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, accompanied by his spouse and delegation, paid a courtesy call on His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni of Cambodia during his official visit to the Kingdom from July 24–26, 2025.

(KPL) On July 25, Mr. Thongsavanh Phomvihane, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, accompanied by his spouse and delegation, paid a courtesy call on His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni of Cambodia during his official visit to the Kingdom from July 24–26, 2025.
During the meeting, Mr. Thongsavanh expressed his deep appreciation for the warm welcome extended by the Cambodian royal family. He conveyed greetings from President Thongloun Sisoulith to His Majesty and Her Majesty Queen Mother Norodom Monineath Sihanouk. He also commended Cambodia's ongoing development and improvements in the quality of life for its people.
The Lao Foreign Minister provided a brief update on the domestic situation in the Lao PDR and shared the outcomes of his recent bilateral meeting with Mr. Prak Sokhonn, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia, noting that the discussions had concluded successfully.

Both sides expressed pride in the longstanding friendship, good neighborliness, and traditional ties between Laos and Cambodia—relations that have continued to bear tangible benefits for the peoples of both nations.
In return, His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni warmly welcomed the delegation and highly valued the visit, expressing his hopes for continued success and for the further strengthening of bilateral cooperation and friendship.
Later that day, Mr. Thongsavanh also met with Mr. Kitti Setha Pundit Cheam Yap, Acting President and First Vice President of the National Assembly of Cambodia. The two sides exchanged views on deepening cooperation, particularly between the two legislative bodies and within the framework of the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA).
