On December 24, 2024, the Vietnam-Lao Energy Investment and Development Partnership Company handed over $300,000 to the Lao government to establish a commercial production fund in the Lao PDR. The donation was presented by Mr. Le Thanh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Vietnam-Lao Energy Investment and Development Partnership Company, and received by Mr. Buakhong Nammavong, Minister and Head of the Office of the Prime Minister. Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone attended the handover ceremony as a witness.
