(KPL ) Laos and China have jointly designes a green and sustainable agriculture demonstration project in 10 northern provinces.

The MOU was signed in Oudomxay province on July 12 between Head of Laos-China Cooperation Agricultural Technical Service and Demonstration Center, Mr Siliphol Phithaksone and the Manager of Vientiane Agricultural Development Group Co., Ltd.Mr. Yang Xi.

Mr Siliphol said this sustainable agriculture demonstration project will implement in 10 northern provinces of Oudomxay, Phongsaly, Bokeo, Luang Namtha, Xayabuly, Luang Prabang, Huaphan, Xiengkhouang, Vientiane and Xaysomboun.

This MOU  aims to support cooperation, and the implementation of demonstration work, the production of good plant varieties, encourage, promote, recommend and transfer new and modern agricultural production techniques, providing technical information and raise the quality of agricultural products and develop agricultural production methods.

This MOU is also to strengthen bilateral cooperation between the two countries to encourage cooperation to be successfully implemented, which is under the guidance of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.

We will try to coordinate with the Laos-China Cooperation Agricultural Technical Service and Demonstration Center,  to carry out study, survey and design a green and sustainable agriculture demonstration projects to achieve the desired results, which will contribute to socio-economic development and promote agricultural development in the Lao PDR to be sustainable.
