Nam Dinh, Laos’ Oudomxay step up human resources training cooperation

KPL (KPL/VNA) The Vietnamese northern province of Nam Dinh and Oudomxay province agreed to strengthen collaboration in the field of education and human resources training during a meeting of education officials of the two localities held in Nam Dinh on June 7.

(KPL/VNA) The Vietnamese northern province of Nam Dinh and Oudomxay province agreed to strengthen collaboration in the field of education and human resources training during a meeting of education officials of the two localities held in Nam Dinh on June 7.

According to Deputy Director of Nam Dinh’s Department of Education and Training Nguyen Van Thuan, under the MoUs signed between the two provinces on education and training in 2017 and 2018, the Vietnamese province has helped to train 13 Lao students since 2018. All Lao students have been provided with decent accommodation and support, showing the special attention and care of Vietnam to foreign students, he said.

Director of the provincial Department of Education and Training Cao Xuan Hung said that in the coming time, the province will continue to improve facility, teaching equipment, and dormitories to ensure the best learning and living environment for international students.

In addition, the province will promote cultural and academic exchange activities, including Vietnamese language courses and extracurricular activities, to help Lao students integrate better and improve communication skills.

In the 2024-2025 academic year, Nam Dinh plans to open training classes in both online and offline forms for Oudomxay province’s managers and teachers on management and teaching.

Somsack Souphlay, Director of the Department of Education and Sports of Oudomxay expressed his hope that Nam Dinh will continue to support the Lao province in training undergraduate and postgraduate students while coordinating to organise training courses and professional exchanges on management and scientific research.
