(KPL)The 1st Lao-Korean Food Festival will be held on April 3-5 at Anouvong Park in Vientiane, with participation of 60 Lao and Korean restaurants.
There will be a concert by well-known bands and K-pop of Korea and other activities, which are an opportunity to promote culture exchange between the two countries and promote Lao food to Koreans and create an atmosphere for Visit Laos year 2024.
Mr Vithoun Sitthimorada, Director of the Commerce and Handicrafts Promotion Department, told a press conference on March 13 that currently the government is focusing on promoting the use of Lao products, and the food fair is one of the elements of advertising to the world and make Laos more aware of its uniqueness.
Mr. Chanthachon Vongxay, Vice President of the Lao National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, President of the Association of Businesswomen, as the co-chairman of the food festival, said this event is organized to strengthen friendship, cooperation and solidarity between the Association of Businesswomen of the Lao PDR, the Association of Cultural Exchange and the Republic of Korea play a new role at the international level, as well as promote Lao food culture to be widely known to other countries on the occasion of Visit Laos Year 2024, connecting the exchange of fine culture and art of Korean and Lao people.
