PM receives Lao-Mongolia Parliamentary Friendship Committee President

KPL (KPL) Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone received a courtesy call from Yo Paatarbileg, member of Mongolian State Great Khural and President of the Lao-Mongolia Parliamentary Friendship Committee as the latter is on a working visit to the Lao PDR between Jan 28-Feb 3.

(KPL) Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone received a courtesy call from Yo Paatarbileg, member of Mongolian State Great Khural and President of the Lao-Mongolia Parliamentary Friendship Committee as the latter is on a working visit to the Lao PDR between Jan 28-Feb 3.

Expressing a warm welcome to the guest, PM Sonexay Siphandone highly valued the visit of Yo Paatarbileg as a significant contribution to strengthening the longstanding relations and cooperation between Laos and Mongolia.

The host noted that senior officials of the two countries have maintained a regular exchange of visits especially in pre-covid-19 years with sectors and relevant authorities of the two countries enhancing effectively their cooperation in various fields including agriculture, health, education/human resource development.

Last year, Laos and Mongolia organized many activities to mark their 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations. 

PM Sonexay also asked the guest to convey his greetings and invitation to the Prime Minister and the President of the State Great Khural of Mongolia for a visit to the Lao PDR at their convenience.

He also pledged to continue to do his utmost to support the relations and cooperation between Laos and Mongolia and expressed his hope that Mongolia will continue to provide assistance and support to Laos under bilateral and multilateral frameworks.

In reply, the guest informed the premier about the objective and the success of his visit to Laos. He called on the premier to continue to support the relations and cooperation between the two countries in economic field especially trade, investment, agriculture, tourism, noting that the two countries can make use of the Laos-China railway to promote trade, as well as their cooperation on opening a direct flight.
