Lao Airlines resumed direct flights between Luang Prabang and Bangkok on October 26, restoring an important air link between the UNESCO-listed heritage city in northern Laos and Thailand’s capital.
The service operates four days a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, providing passengers with more convenient travel options between the two destinations.
The resumption is expected to support tourism, business travel and stronger connectivity between Laos and Thailand, while making Luang Prabang more accessible to Thai visitors and international travellers connecting through Bangkok.
Known for its historic temples, traditional architecture and rich cultural heritage, Luang Prabang remains one of Laos’ leading tourist destinations. The restored route is expected to facilitate travel to the city and support the continued development of the tourism sector.
The renewed service also adds to air connectivity between the two neighbouring countries, offering greater convenience for passengers and supporting regional tourism growth.
