(KPL) Beerlao, officially the Lao Brewery Company, producer of the most popular drinking water “Tigerhead” hosted a press conference on July 28 tipping local media about unique features that will help consumers differentiate real bottles of Tigerhead drinking water from fake ones.
A report broadcast earlier this week by the Lao Public Security TV (LPSTV) raised public concern over drinking fake drinking water similar to that produced by Beerlao.
1. Fake drinking water comes out in three sizes. Producers of fake drinking water refill used Tigerhead drinking water bottles with water. The fake Tigerhead bottles have scratches and look old.

2. Fake drinking water caps have an undefined tiger image printed on top and the plastic sealing over the cap bears more and larger tiger images.
3. Fake cartons look dark gray, while real Tigerhead cartons look obviously brighter.
4. As for the larger bottles (6-bottle pack), fake Tigerhead drinking water has harder and more transparent packing as well as a dark blue handle strap.
