KPL The National Assembly’s Standing Committee, the Lao Front for National Development, the Lao Veterans Federation, and the central Mass Organizations convened in Vientiane on November 11, 2024

(KPL) The National Assembly’s Standing Committee, the Lao Front for National Development, the Lao Veterans Federation, and the central Mass Organizations convened in Vientiane on November 11, 2024, to address urgent social issues impacting socioeconomic development and the public's quality of life. 

The meeting was jointly chaired by National Assembly Standing Committee President Saysomphone Phomvihane and Lao Front for National Development President Sinlavong Khoutphaythoun. 

Representatives of relevant authorities also participated in the meeting.

The discussions focused on identifying solutions to pressing societal challenges and assessing the implementation of the Constitution and laws across government agencies. 

Emphasis was placed on strengthening unity among the National Assembly’s Standing Committee, the Lao Front, the Lao Veterans Federation, and the mass organizations to address these pressing issues in alignment with national policies, constitutional mandates, and legal frameworks.

The meeting included a report by the National Assembly’s Standing Committee on the impacts of recent development projects. 

Attendees exchanged views on the rights and duties defined by law for the Lao Front, the Lao Veterans Federation, and the mass organizations in monitoring the performance of the National Assembly, and amendments to the Constitution (2015 Revision).
