Korea Week Festival 2018 Enjoyed By Vientiane Residents

KPL (KPL) More than 200 Vientiane residents and Korean nationals have enjoyed the Korea Week Festival 2018, the first of its kind in Laos, launched at Vientiane Shopping Center, Vientiane Capital on Oct 5.

(KPL) More than 200 Vientiane residents and Korean nationals have enjoyed the Korea Week Festival 2018, the first of its kind in Laos, launched at Vientiane Shopping Center, Vientiane Capital on Oct 5.

The event was launched in the presence of the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Khamphao Eunthavanh and Ambassador of Korea to Laos Shin Sung Sun.

“The Korea Week Festival aims to showcase a wide range of agricultural products, food products and cultural richness of the Republic of Korea as well as to promote enhancing the cooperation and people exchange between Laos and the Republic of Korea," said Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the Lao PDR, Mr. Shin Sung Sun.

“The event opens opportunity for entrepreneurs from Laos and Korea to exchange informamtion and build a promotional network of agricultural production,” added the ambassador.

The three-day event has drawn 17 booths representing Lao business community and relevant government bodies, according to the Director General of the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) Park Shag Eun.

The festival features several activities such as Korean Food Cooking Contest, Taste Korean Cinema, and KOICA Development Cooperation Photo Exhibition.  

The Korea Week Festival 2018 is hosted by the Korean Embassy of the Republic of Korea, Korea Ministry of Agriculture, Food & Rural Affairs, KOICA, KFPI, KOFIC, AT Center and KOTRA.
