(KPL)The Blockchain Technology Festival, also known as Laos Blockchain Fest 2025, will take place on November 21–22, 2025 at the National Convention Center in Vientiane under the theme “Building a Sustainable Future with Technology.”
The event will serve as a platform to showcase cutting-edge innovations, foster knowledge exchange, host consultation forums, and create new business opportunities. It is expected to draw investors, technology developers, government agencies, businesses, and stakeholders from both Laos and abroad, supporting the country’s transition to a sustainable digital economy.
Announcing the festival on September 12, 2025, Mr. Boviengkham Vongdala, Minister of Technology and Communications, stated “The Blockchain Technology Festival is an important event that will contribute to the digital economic transformation of the Lao PDR. It promotes the application of digital technology throughout society, with a special focus on blockchain to strengthen digital platforms and infrastructure development in Laos. Participants will gain insights from experts, explore exhibitions, and raise awareness on blockchain and emerging technologies including finance and investment, AI, tech startups, cybersecurity, Web 3.0, and digital assets. The festival will also serve as a forum for exchange and consultation between the public and private sectors.”
The event is anticipated to attract significant interest from domestic and international participants across industries. More than just an academic seminar, the festival represents a key step in opening opportunities for startups and regional businesses while enhancing the credibility of Laos as a country ready to position itself as a hub for blockchain technology and future finance.
Blockchain is a data storage technology that links records in an encrypted chain network. Each record is shared across the network, making it extremely difficult to alter or forge, since all participants can verify changes. This makes blockchain one of the most secure and reliable methods of storing digital data.
