On August 4, 2025, Mr. Thongsalith Mangnomek, Minister of Education and Sports (MoES), welcomed a courtesy visit from Mr. Hunrang Phanong, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Cambodia to the Lao PDR, and Mr. Kvima Enthara, Head of the World Bank Office in Laos. The purpose of the visit was to extend congratulations to Mr. Thongsalith on his recent appointment as Minister of Education and Sports.

(KPL) On August 4, 2025, Mr. Thongsalith Mangnomek, Minister of Education and Sports (MoES), welcomed a courtesy visit from Mr. Hunrang Phanong, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Cambodia to the Lao PDR, and Mr. Kvima Enthara, Head of the World Bank Office in Laos. The purpose of the visit was to extend congratulations to Mr. Thongsalith on his recent appointment as Minister of Education and Sports.
On this occasion, Minister Thongsalith expressed his warm welcome and sincere appreciation to Ambassador Hunrang Phanong and Mr. Kvima Enthara for leading the delegation to convey their congratulations. He noted that this visit contributes to strengthening cooperation in various fields, particularly in education and sports, between the Lao PDR, Cambodia, and the World Bank. He further expressed hope that this cooperation would continue to expand and that mutual support and assistance would be sustained in the long term.

The Minister also extended his gratitude to the Government and people of Cambodia, as well as to the World Bank Office in Laos, for their continuous support and assistance in developing education and sports in the Lao PDR. He briefed the Ambassador and the Head of the World Bank Office on recent developments in the country’s education sector, including improvements to the education system, curriculum, and related areas.
In response, the Ambassador and the Head of the World Bank Office in Laos expressed their appreciation for the Minister’s warm reception. They also extended their congratulations and high commendation on his new appointment, reaffirming their commitment to continue providing support and assistance to the Lao PDR in the fields of education and sports in the future.
