(KPL) On August 16, 2025, the Propaganda and Training Committee of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP) Central Committee organized a walk for health in front of the National Assembly to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of Media and Publishing Day.

The event was attended by Mr. Laopaosong Navongxay, Deputy Head of the LPRP Central Committee’s Commission for Propaganda and Training, along with representatives from international organizations and members of the media.

This year’s anniversary celebration featured a series of activities, including a health walk, an exhibition of media and publishing products, a football match, a seminar, and a social gathering.

The health walk served as a tribute to the achievements of the media and publishing sector over the past 75 years. The sector has played a crucial role as a tool for protecting and developing the country. Media and publishing act as a powerful voice in disseminating the Party and State’s policies and plans, promoting patriotism, fostering love for the new regime, strengthening democracy, encouraging law-abiding citizenship, and preserving the cultural heritage of the nation and its diverse ethnic groups. They also contribute significantly to promoting socio-economic development and supporting the country’s continued growth.
