KPL Mr. Thongsavanh Phomvihane, Member of the Party Central Committee and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Laos, received Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong, Member of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and newly appointed Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam, who was visiting Laos to prepare for the upcoming official state visit of Vietnamese President Luong Cuong on April 8-9, 2025.

(KPL) Mr. Thongsavanh Phomvihane, Member of the Party Central Committee and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Laos, received Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong, Member of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and newly appointed Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam, who was visiting Laos to prepare for the upcoming official state visit of Vietnamese President Luong Cuong on April 8-9, 2025.

Minister Thongsavanh warmly welcomed the delegation and highly appreciated their preparatory work in Laos. He congratulated Nguyen Manh Cuong on his appointment as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam and commended the historic achievements made by the Vietnamese people in recent years.

The Minister also noted that the Party, government, and multi-ethnic people of Laos are eagerly preparing to welcome the President of Vietnam.

Both sides praised the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between Laos and Vietnam, which continues to grow stronger across all fields. Notably, the two countries successfully held 2024 and 2025 annual meetings between the Politburos of the two countries and exchanged high-level visits from central to local levels—demonstrating their "unique and unparalleled" relationship in the world.

The two sides also discussed future cooperation directions, particularly in preparing for upcoming high-level exchanges and strengthening collaboration mechanisms between the foreign ministries of Laos and Vietnam.

In return, Nguyen Manh Cuong expressed gratitude for the warm reception and outlined the purpose of his working visit to Laos.
