New Champasack Provincial Hospital Handed Over

(KPL)  A handover ceremony for the newly constructed Champasack Provincial Hospital was held in the presence of Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone, Champasack Governor Alounxay Sounnalath, provincial health officials, hospital leadership, representatives from the central government, and medical staff.

The hospital, built with funding from AIF Group, Investment Consulting and Power Plant Construction Company Limited, and Xaysana Group Company Limited, was completed at a cost of 16 billion kip.

Mr. Litthikone Phumasack, Chairman of AIF Group, spoke on behalf of the donors, highlighting the motivation and background behind the grant for the hospital’s construction.

Receiving the new facility, Mr. Khamsing Keothongkou, Director of Champasack Provincial Hospital, expressed gratitude, emphasizing that the hospital’s expansion is a significant milestone in improving healthcare services. The new facility aligns with the Ministry of Health’s "5 Goods, satisfaction" quality standard and will help reduce overcrowding and infection risks while adding 68 additional patient beds.

The expanded hospital will serve people across the four southern provinces of Laos. Mr. Keothongku pledged to manage and maintain the new facility responsibly, ensuring it provides maximum benefit to the community.
