The event aims to further strengthen and enhance the long-standing friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between Laos and Vietnam, particularly in boosting trade relations between the two nations. The fair is expected to encourage bilateral trade growth and support the implementation of the trade agreement between the two governments, which aims to achieve the set trade value targets.

The event will feature over 200 exhibition booths, with participation from Lao enterprises from across the country and Vietnamese businesses. Products on display will primarily include consumer goods, processed agricultural products, agricultural goods, handicrafts, clothing and fashion, seafood, furniture, medicines, and medical equipment.

In addition to the product exhibition, the fair will include various activities such as the distribution of promotional items to visitors, cultural and artistic performances showcasing the unique traditions of Laos and Vietnam, and Lao-Vietnamese singing performances by students and youth. A special highlight will be daily art displays from Vietnam throughout the event.

The plan comes at a critical time, as there has been no confirmed scientific evidence of wild tigers in Laos since 2013, when the last individual was recorded by camera traps in Nam Et–Phou Louey National Park.
