(KPL) Deputy Prime Minister Saleumxay Kommasith attended the 2nd ASEAN Future Forum 2025 in Hanoi, Vietnam, on February 25.
Chaired by Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, the forum was held under the theme "Building a United, Inclusive, and Resilient ASEAN amidst Global Transformations." It serves as a platform initiated by Vietnam to foster dialogue among government leaders, stakeholders, researchers, and citizens from within and beyond the region, aiming to strengthen collaboration for ASEAN’s future.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, DPM Saleumxay commended Vietnam’s leadership in organizing the forum, describing it as a crucial venue for shaping ASEAN’s collective path forward. He noted that the forum’s theme reflects key challenges confronting the region and the world, including artificial intelligence (AI), digital transformation, climate change, food security, and economic disparities—factors that directly impact global peace, stability, and prosperity.
The Deputy Prime Minister underscored the importance of strengthening ASEAN’s unity and resilience, emphasizing the need for collective action to tackle global challenges and overcome difficulties, ensuring a more inclusive and sustainable regional community.
