(KPL) A shipment of 28 new energy BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) buses departed Dulaying International Land-Sea Freight Port in Guiyang, Guizhou Province, on October 28, heading to Vientiane via the Laos-China Railway.
This marks Guizhou’s first direct export of domestically produced new energy buses through the rail link, an efficient new channel for boosting trade and cooperation with Laos.
The shipment is expected to arrive in Vientiane within seven days and represents the first of two batches of 55 new energy buses. A second batch, comprising 27 more buses, is set to depart on Tuesday. These advanced electric buses, featuring zero emissions, low noise, and intelligent control systems, will serve Vientiane’s first modern BRT system.
Mr. Zhang Yongjun, General Manager of Guiyang International Port Company, highlighted the collaborative effort among transportation and customs departments to ensure a smooth export process. “From testing and tax declaration to export and delivery, teams have optimized every step to promote Guizhou’s new energy buses internationally,” he stated.
