Lao-Vietnam Friendship Associations hold third meeting in Vientiane

(KPL) On July 18, 2024, there was the third meeting between the Lao-Vietnam Friendship Association and the Vietnam-Lao Friendship Association in Vientiane. 
Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam cum President of the Vietnam-Lao Friendship Association, Nguyen Dac Vinh, is on a working visit to Laos (Jul 18-20) to attend the third nationwide meeting between the Lao-Vietnam Friendship Association and the Vietnam-Lao Friendship Association.
The Lao side was led by member of the Central Committee of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party and President of the Lao-Vietnam Friendship Association, Mr. Boviengkham Vongdara, and the Vietnamese side was led by member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and President of the Vietnam-Lao Friendship Association, Mr. Nguyen Dac Vinh.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed and evaluated their cooperation over the past years and discussed directions for years to come, especially the celebration of historic days of both countries.
Both sides also informed each other about major achievements in socio-economic developments in their respective countries and agreed to continue coordinating efforts, exchanging ideas, and organizing joint activities to further strengthen the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, the two states, and the peoples of Laos and Vietnam, bringing real benefits to the people of both countries.
On the same day, the delegation of the Vietnam-Lao Friendship Association also paid a courtesy visit to Deputy Prime Minister Kikeo Khaykhamphithoune. 
Mr. Kikeo Khaykhamphithoune warmly welcomed the delegation and highly valued their visit as a contribution to expanding and enhancing the Laos-Vietnam relationship. 
He also praised the activities of the Vietnam-Lao Friendship Association, which have helped promote the understanding of the relationship between Laos and Vietnam among people of the two countries, especially the younger generation.
Mr. Nguyen Dac Vinh expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and briefed the host about the achievements in socio-economic development of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the activities of his delegation in the Lao PDR.
Both sides also expressed satisfaction on the growing great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, the two states, and the people of Laos and Vietnam, which continue to be strengthened, enhanced, and flourishing, bringing benefits to the people of both countries.
