KPL (KPL) On June 22, 2024, Shanghai University held a graduation ceremony for the 2023-2024 academic year.

(KPL) On June 22, 2024, Shanghai University held a graduation ceremony for the 2023-2024 academic year.

Held at the Baoshan Campus with a vibrant display of colors, the event was attended by school administrators, professors, faculty representatives, alumni representatives, and graduates' parents and friends.

The graduates are from different faculties including the School of Economics, Management, Engineering, Sciences, Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences, among others.

Of the total 9,697 graduates, 286 were granted doctoral degrees, 4,886 awarded master's degrees, and 4,525 presented bachelor's degrees.

The ceremony witnessed seven Lao graduates presented degrees. These included five granted master's degrees and two presented bachelor's degrees.

She was not only honored with the Outstanding International Graduate Award but also recognised as the International Student Alumni Coordinator. Nongluck’s academic excellence was highlighted by her receipt of the prestigious China Scholarship Council (CSC) and her outstanding performance in various courses.

Throughout her time of studying in China, she has engaged in various activities, demonstrating her practical spirit and innovative abilities. During her study, she had the opportunity to expand her knowledge and her global perspective. With such an academic achievement, she can now make a successful career and make a positive impact in her field and society. Also, she expressed her keenness to use her knowledge to promote trade and cooperation between China and her country Laos.

Furthermore, she urged all foreign students who are studying in China to prioritize learning Chinese language. She said that, by being able to speak Chinese, they will be able to fully immerse themselves in the local culture, build strong connections with Chinese people, and enhance their foreign language skills.

Shanghai University (SHU) is established in 1922, and is currently recognized as one of the top 40 universities in China. It is a comprehensive university with 32 colleges, offering a total of 101 undergraduate majors, 26 doctoral degree programmes, 9 interdisciplinary doctoral programmes, 41 master's degree programmes (including doctoral degree programmes), 1 master's degree programme in secondary discipline, 2 professional doctoral degree categories, 27 professional master's degree categories (including professional doctoral degree categories), and 24 postdoctoral research stations.
