Xekong: over 12,600 children to be vaccinated against rubella, measles

KPL (KPL) Xekong Province has prepared over 300 service points for the vaccination of under-5 children against rubella and measles.

(KPL) Xekong Province has prepared over 300 service points for the vaccination of under-5 children against rubella and measles.

Up to 12,646 vaccines will be administered by 48 medical teams across the province during its ongoing vaccination campaign.

The rubella-measles vaccination campaign in the province was officially kicked off on May 20, and is scheduled to be completed by May 31, according to Director of the Xekong Provincial Health Department Dr Bualay Ketchan. 

 “I would like to call on parents to be aware of the vaccination and bring their children to receive vaccinations at various service points designated by health authorities. This is to build up community immunity and make children healthy,” said Dr Bualay.
