(KPL) The 6th Ordinary Session of the National Assembly’s 9th legislature was opened this morning in Vientiane in the presence of President of the National Assembly Saysomphone Phomvihane, President Thongloun Sisoulith, Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone and other Party and government leaders, and people’s representatives.
(KPL) The 6th Ordinary Session of the National Assembly’s 9th legislature was opened this morning in Vientiane in the presence of President of the National Assembly Saysomphone Phomvihane, President Thongloun Sisoulith, Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone and other Party and government leaders, and people’s representatives.
Representatives of the Lao Front for National Development, mass organizations, academia, Ambassadors and business community also attended the meeting.
Scheduled to last through Nov 21, the meeting is expected to discuss, consider and make a decision on reports on the implementation of the current socio-economic development plan, state budget plan 2023 and targets set for 2024.
A draft report of the government on the midterm implementation of its 5-year national socio-economic development plan and state budget plan (2021-2025), and other issues of national importance will be discussed at the meeting.
Lawmakers are also expected to discuss the adoption of two new draft laws on Special Economic Zones and Primary Healthcare along with six amended laws on Treatment, Intellectual Property, Accounting, Payment System, Judge, and the Supervision by the National Assembly and Provincial People's councils.
