Lao and Vietnamese Circuses Join Hands to Celebrate 135th Birth Anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh

KPL The Lao National Circus, in collaboration with Vietnam’s National Circus Centre, hosted a special acrobatic performance in Vientiane on May 22, 2025, to mark the 135th birth anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh.

(KPL) The Lao National Circus, in collaboration with Vietnam’s National Circus Centre, hosted a special acrobatic performance in Vientiane on May 22, 2025, to mark the 135th birth anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh.

The commemorative event was attended by Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism Suansavanh Viyakhet, Vietnamese Ambassador to Laos Nguyen Minh Tam, Director of the Lao National Circus Vonevilay Latthaphasavang and her Vietnamese counterpart Tong Toan Thang, as well as local residents and members of the Vietnamese community in Laos.

The show featured 13 vibrant and expertly choreographed performances that blended traditional circus artistry with modern stagecraft and professional sound design, offering audiences a visually captivating and emotionally engaging experience.

In her opening remarks, Director of the Lao National Circus Vonevilay Latthaphasavang underscored the enduring special solidarity between Laos and Vietnam, emphasizing the close geographical and historical ties that bind the two nations.

Beyond celebrating President Ho Chi Minh, a beloved leader and key architect of the Vietnam–Laos friendship, the event also aimed to promote cultural exchange, foster professional collaboration between the two circuses, and further strengthen the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between the peoples of Laos and Vietnam.
