KPL (KPL) The RHB Bank Laos donated 20 sets of chairs and tables worth 12 million kip to Phiavat Secondary School in Vientiane Capital on Oct 5.

(KPL) The RHB Bank Laos donated 20 sets of chairs and tables worth 12 million kip to Phiavat Secondary School in Vientiane Capital on Oct 5.

The handover ceremony was held at the school between RHB Bank Laos Director General Danny Ling and the Director of the Phiavat Secondary School Khamvone Sorluangkhoth in the presence of teachers, students and RHB Bank staff members.

“Today donation is a corporate social responsibility activity of RHB for 2019. Specifically, the goal of our programme for this year is to promote sustainable educational development and contribute to ensuring local schools can enjoy better educational development,” said Danny Ling.

RHB conducts on an annual basis corporate social responsibility activities in 10 host countries in Asia.

This year marks the fifth anniversary the bank has provided educational and sports equipment to schools in Vientiane Capital.

      The Ministry of Education and Sports (MoES), with support from the Australian Government through the BEQUAL program, released Teacher Development Video 29 (TDV 29), which complements Teacher Support Pack 14 (TSP 14), “Supporting Students with Disabilities in the Classroom”. The video gives teachers practical guidance on how to recognize signs that a student may have difficulties with vision, hearing, mobility, attention, communication, or memory, and how to utilize the Child Functioning Module – Teacher Version correctly.
