ICBC Donates Computers To Schools In Vientiane

KPL (KPL) The Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Limited (ICBC) has presented 30 computers and three laptops to the Ministry of Education and Sports to distribute to 11 secondary schools and primary schools in Vientiane Capital.

(KPL) The Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Limited (ICBC) has presented 30 computers and three laptops to the Ministry of Education and Sports to distribute to 11 secondary schools and primary schools in Vientiane Capital.

A handover ceremony for the donation package was held in Vientiane Capital on Aug 27 between Deputy Minister of Education and Sports Boualan Silipanya and ICBC Director General Sun Feng Lei.

The 11 beneficiary schools included: Phongthong, Nongnao, Nakha, Phouangxay, Houana, Thadindaeng, Maknao, Ban Don, Ban Phao, Donsangphai, and Sibounheuang.

The donation aimed to improve teaching and learning environment at the beneficiary schools.

“Over recent years, ICBC has provided office equipment and educational materials to many schools in the Lao PDR. We also built a school building for the Houa Xieng primary school in Xaythany district,” said Mr Sun Feng Lei.
