The ceremony was co-chaired by Dr. Sonexay Ratsavong, Director of Friendship Hospital, and Dr. Chanmaly Keomanivong, President of the Lao Nephrology Society and Head of the Nephrology Department at Friendship Hospital, with relevant officials and guests in attendance.
The four-month training programme, running from September 1 to December 25, 2026, is part of the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) strategic plan. It aims to strengthen the knowledge and practical skills of nurses working in hemodialysis (HD) and peritoneal dialysis (PD), enabling them to provide safe and standardized care for kidney disease patients.
Seven nurses are participating in the programme, including two from Houaphanh Provincial Hospital, two from Friendship Hospital, and one each from Military Hospital 107 in Luang Prabang, Saimangkorn Hospital and Kasemrad International Hospital Vientiane.
Participants will receive both theoretical instruction and practical, hands-on training under the guidance of experienced instructors and trainers.
